Seizing the opportunity presented during the first two weeks of the lunar calendar, known as Bumgyur Dawa, when our karmic actions are multiplied by the thousands, Samye Translations and the Nekhor team led a group of twenty-six pilgrims from seventeen different countries to several sacred sites around Nepal. For this reason, the Nekhor team’s efforts have been focused on leading this auspicious pilgrimage, known as nekhor in Tibetan, thus pausing the monthly webcast series.
We hope to lead similar trips in the near future. We are happy to share the following photos from the pilgrimage and hope that seeing the sites can inspire more people to connect in person to these sacred places.
